SQUEEGEE DOES IT: Pensioner Perches On 80ft Ledge To Clean Windows

This is the moment an old man in north-east China stepped out to clean windows on the edge of a sixth-floor ledge above an 80ft sheer drop.

The apparently carefree pensioner was filmed by a neighbour in the city of Huludao, Liaoning Province.

The witness – not named in local media – said: “I was terrified when I saw him.”

In the footage, the old man can be seen casually walking along the window sill of the apartment and wiping the glass clean.

He uses nothing but his right hand to hold onto the frame to prevent himself from falling off.

At one point, he even gets down on one knee to reach the more distant edges of the glass.

He spent more than three hours going back and forth along the window sill, according to the witness, and kept switching from one dangerous position to another as he cleaned.

The video of the man’s frightening feat made its way on Douyin, the Chinese version of TikTok, with the caption: “My heart stops beating when I watch it.”

User ‘wizard36’ said: “My legs are shaking watching the video.”

And user ‘sun Douyin’ jokingly wrote: “He can’t tell which is more important, glass or fate.”
