This is the moment a woman in north-eastern China perches on a narrow window cill above a sheer 70-foot drop to clean her windows.

The woman – not named in local media in Anshan, Liaoning Province – was filmed carrying out the vertigo-inducing stunt by a frightened neighbour.

The neighbour – who lives opposite her – said she was scared to death after seeing the woman balancing outside her fifth-floor apartment.

In a video – shared on Douyin, the Chinese version of TikTok – the woman can be seen leaning out with a mop to scrub the hard-to-reach edges.

Then she steps out on the four-inch wide windowsill to get into all the corners with a squeegee.

The video was posted with a warning which read: “This is a dangerous act, please do not imitate.”

User ‘Can’t do anything’ commented: “I’d rather the glass be so dirty that I can’t see outside clearly than risk my life to wipe the glass.”

And user ‘Wang Meiliang’ said: “This is really life-threatening, this woman is [fearless] like a tiger.”
