This is the brazen driver who filmed himself steering his Toyota using his foot while rapidly overtaking cars on a busy road.

Motorist Mr Ding reportedly posted online about his stunt saying: “It’s easier to steer with my feet than my hands.

The video, which shows him in the driver’s seat of his red Toyota saloon, was captured on the Xixin South Road in the city of Chaozhou, which is in China’s southern province of Guangdong.

It appeared online on 18th March and shows Mr Ding controlling the steering wheel of his speeding car using nothing but his bare left foot.

He serves right and left while overtaking two cars and a van on the narrow two-lane road, the footage shows.

After Chaozhou authorities caught wind of his stunt, he was summoned for questioning at his local Linxi Police Station.

He was charged with dangerous driving and found to have illegally modified the appearance of his vehicle too.

The authorities fined Mr Ding 600 RMB (72 GBP) and docked two points from his licence.

He has also written a public apology in the form of a letter which has now been posted online.
