This is the moment a speeding car crashes into another vehicle slowly edging into the traffic killing two people and injuring three others.

The accident was filmed by a CCTV camera in the district of Golcuk in the north-western Turkish province of Kocaeli and shared on social media.

In the short clip, a white car, reportedly driven by 45-year-old Zeynep O., is seen slowly edging onto a main road.

As it enters the traffic, an oncoming car, driven by 41-year-old Esref Demir., ploughs into its side and sends it rolling along the street.

According to local media, witnessed called the emergency services who arrived on the scene and treated the injured.

However, reports said that Demir and a passenger identified as 54-year-old Mehmet Aykan were both killed at the scene.

Meanwhile, Zeynep and his two daughters, 24-year-old Aysenur O. and 10-year-old Ecrin Sena O. were injured in the accident and rushed to hospital.

A preliminary investigation was carried out while Demir and Aykan’s bodies were transferred to the morgue of the Golcuk Necati Celik State Hospital, according to local media.

There have been no further updates on the condition of the family-of-three.

The police investigation into the accident is still ongoing.
