Son Burns Dad To Death In Office During Row About Property Sale Cash

This is the moment a deadly fireball consumes a 57-year-old father after his own son set him ablaze at his place of work.

Nikita Permyakov, 31, who comes from the Russian city of Yekaterinburg, set his father Yuri Permyakov on fire during a row at his place of work at the Ural branch of the Institute of Metal Physics of the Russian Academy of Sciences on 7th July 2021.

However he will not be prosecuted after the Sverdlovsk Regional Court announced this week that Nikita is unfit to stand trial and will be treated at a psychiatric hospital instead after it was reported he was a drug addict.

The duration of treatment will be determined by the medical institution itself.

Nikita was charged with ‘murder with special cruelty in a generally dangerous way’ after confronting his father at his place of work.

He doused his father, a chief power engineer, in flammable liquid and threw a lit object at him, setting him on fire.

A security guard quickly got a fire extinguisher and put out the flames before calling for an ambulance, however, Yuri died of his burn injuries.

The incident followed a row about the sale of a property, of which Nikita was hoping to receive a share. However, relatives were reportedly worried that he might blow the cash on drugs.

According to local reports, Nikita, who has now been ruled unfit to stand trial, suffered from drug addiction.
