This is the chilling moment when an elderly man shoots his rival three times before puffing on a cigarette as his victim twitches on the ground.

The bloody incident took place in Karaman, south-central Turkey, on the morning of 3rd September.

CCTV footage shows how longstanding rivals Zekeriya K., 67, and Hayrettin A., 58, bumped into each other on the street.

Moments earlier, the two had reportedly argued at the bazaar, with their friends having to physically separate them so they would not come to blows.

Footage shows how Zekeriya pulls a knife and Hayrettin a handgun as if in preparation for a Western-style showdown.

Zekeriya can be seen shirtfronting his rival, who walks backwards into a parked car and falls to the ground.

Zekeriya then beings to stab Hayrettin. But as he towers over his fallen rival, Hayrettin shoots him in the chest, causing a bloodstain to appear on his shirt.

He falls backwards, with Hayrettin shooting him two more times, in the leg and in the chest.

Hayrettin then puts his gun back in his belt, takes out a cigarette, and begins puffing on it as his bloodied rival writhes in agony on the tarmac.

According to reports, Hayrettin then went home with stab wounds to the leg, arm, and abdomen, and waited for the police.

Terrified passersby who witnessed the onslaught called the emergency services, and both men were taken to a local hospital.

At the time of reporting, Zekeriya remained in the ICU in a serious condition.

Hayrettin, meanwhile, was discharged and remanded in custody.
