This is the moment a barber’s quick reflexes saved the day when he caught a glass door that had become unhinged and dropped to the floor.

The incident, which took place in the city of Xi’an, located in Shaanxi Province, in central China, was caught on the barber shop’s surveillance camera.

At the start of the footage, the unnamed barber – dubbed ‘The Flash’ in local media – can be seen trimming a customer’s hair one second and then jumping under the falling door the very next, all the while holding the scissors in his hand.

He catches the heavy glass and prevents what was moments away from being a big pile of shattered shards.

A person which can be seen standing nearby and an employee then quickly come to the barber’s aid, getting the door off his hands and back in its place.

The barber had later posted the video on his Douyin account, the Chinese version of TikTok, where he received lots of praise for his amazingly quick response, as well as many concerned warnings.

His followers advised that he should avoid putting his hands in dangerous places, as they are the root of his craftsmanship.
