Shocking Videos Reopen File On Teen Rape Victim Six Years After She Killed Herself

A horrifying gang rape case has been opened six years after its teenage victim killed herself because she could not live with the secret “eating her up.”

Shattered Alice Shembri was just 15 when she was raped by two men and two boys in her home town Agrigento in Sicily, Italy, in 2015.

Terrified Alice is believed to have been blackmailed into keeping the attack secret and killed herself two years later.

Police originally dealt with the case as just a suicide but now prosecutors have reopened the case after years of tireless campaigning by her parents.

Harrowing video footage reportedly taken on the night of her rape emerged after police reopened their investigation.

The clips – shared widlely among Alice’s circle – allegedly show her pleading with her attackers to stop.

As they reportedly take turns in raping her, she can be heard saying: ” I don’t want to, I can’t, I’ll kill myself, no please. I feel bad.”

Now – eight years later – the four suspects are to face a rape trial.

Her attackers claim that the sex with Alice was consensual – but Palermo prosecutors say it is clear to be heard that she is not agreeing.

Now they have started proceedings on charges of rape, gang sexual abuse and distribution of child pornography. against those involved.

The oldest suspect is now aged 27.

Alice’s motherTeresa Giglio’s campaiged tirelessly for police to reinvestigate her daughter’s death.

Before her suicide in 2017 Alice posted a note on Facebook saying: “None of you know and will ever know what I’ve had to live with for some time now.

“What happened to me could not be told. I could not. And this secret inside me is eating me up.

“I’m not a quitter, but I can’t fight this time. Because I will never be able to win, just as I cannot continue living like this, or rather pretending like this.”

Those under investigation reportedly have 20 days to reply to the allegations.

They added that the teenage girl’s boyfriend of the time is a particular focus of the investigation, with a suspicion that he blackmailed her and possibly other girls into having sex against their will.
