Sharon Stone Sends Support Message To Italian Red Cross

This is the moment Hollywood legend Sharon Stone shares an emotional message to Red Cross workers battling the coronavirus pandemic.

The 62-year-old actress used her Instagram profile, where she boasts two million followers, to send a message of support to the Red Cross in Italy.

In the video a visibly emotional Stone wearing an Italian Red Cross shirt says: “I want to say hello and thank you to all the Red Cross workers out there who I’ve seen over the time, over the years in person and now I’m watching videos of you going into people’s houses to take coronavirus victims out, Watching you in ambulances, talking to them through the plastic tubing, seeing the heart you put into your jobs.

And knowing that you’re putting your lives on the line for the work that you do, I just want to tell you how much I admire you, How pride I am to serve in any small capacity in your unit, how much it means to me what you do, and that I see you doing your job silently. diligently, with so much dignity and care.”

My heart is with you, please, go on angels’ wings.[…] I am grateful to your Red Cross workers.”

The message was well-received by the Red Cross in Italy who wrote on Twitter: “Dear Sharon Stone. Thank you so much for your kind words for the Red Cross teams responding to COVID-19. We are so proud of all Red Cross and Red Crescent volunteers and staff doing their best during these challenging times.”

According to the latest data from the Johns Hopkins University, Italy has suffered 128,984 COVID-19 infections with 15,887 deaths and 21,815 recoveries.
