Servicemen Bake Bread And Prepare Hot Soup For Affected Citizens

Turkish soldiers are proving to be true servicemen of their nation by baking fresh bread and cooking up hot meals for the people living in earthquake-affected areas, as these images show.

Footage obtained by Newsflash from the Turkish Ministry of Defence shows uniformed men rolling up their sleeves as they roll up some dough.

They fill up dozens of trays and send them off to bake while other soldiers prepare hot soup and hand it out to hungry citizens.

The Ministry said in a short statement obtained by Newsflash: “We continue to bake bread and distribute hot soup to our citizens.”

A 7.7 and a 7.6-magnitude earthquakes struck Turkey and was also felt in Syria in the early morning hours of 6th February.

As per the latest update by the Disaster and Emergency Management Presidency, 46,970 have died in the earthquakes, with 41,156 confirmed dead in Turkey and 5,814 that have been killed in Syria.
