This is the moment a mass brawl breaks out in a huge canteen catering to the vast workforce in a Russian gas processing plant.

The footage was reportedly shot at the Amur Gas Processing Plant in the Russian Amur Region where the workers in their orange safety uniforms start a mass punch-up that resulted in eight being arrested.

Some of the workers are seen waving chairs and using them to hit each other, while others throw trays and food at each other.

The entire hall seems to be divided up into those who are fighting, and at the same time many others who simply stand around watching the action and doing nothing to stop it.

The press service of the enterprise which was not named in Russian media confirmed that the brawl took place during a lunchtime break, and they said it started with a simple dispute between two members of the team after one accused the other of swearing at him.

They said nobody had been hurt in the fighting, and police had been called and were investigating after arresting eight people.
