Michael Paletta, 57, said: “My daughter Neele gave me two tickets for his concert as a Christmas present. As I knew Cooper was a big golf fan, I wrote to him on Instagram. It took quite a while but his management got back to me.”

Cooper took Paletta up on his invitation and played nine holes at 2 under par and at the end of the game said: “I recommend everyone to become a rock star. You work in the evenings and can play golf all day.”

The golf club posted two pictures of the star together with Paletta on its Facebook page with the caption: “Today we had visitors from the USA. Alice Cooper played nine holes at 2 under par. His guitarist Brian was not as good as him.”
