Bizarre Moment Man Steals Sweater From Dog And Walks Away With It

This is the bizarre moment a man steals a sweater from a dog over the front gate of its owner’s house and walks away with it.

A security camera caught the incident as it unfolded at the property in the Brazilian city of Sorocaba on 2nd July.

In the footage, an unidentified man is seen approaching the young female dog named Nina at the front gate and stroking it.

He is also seen checking out the material of its sweater before removing the item of clothing from the pooch and brazenly walking away with it.

Nina’s owner, Sueli Vieira Rodrigues Pinto, was having coffee in a clinic next door to where she works as a cleaner when the weird incident took place.

She told news site G1: “I arrived home and asked where her clothes were. My husband told me he didn’t know. We went to look for them and couldn’t find them anywhere.”

Sueli’s husband later found out what had happened when he reviewed the footage from the security camera outside their house. He then showed his wife the clip.

She told G1: “I said ‘what’s this?’, I couldn’t understand it. I spent hours watching it and trying to understand what happened.”

The sweater used to belong to Sueli, but she no longer used it so she cut the sleeves down and kept it for her pet to wear to keep warm.

The clip was posted online and netizens identified the thief as a homeless man, although this information has not been confirmed.

A vet who works with Sueli at the clinic learned of the story and bought a new sweater for Nina, which she put on the pooch later the same day. Her goodwill gesture was also filmed on CCTV.

Of the earlier theft, Sueli said: “Had it been a fashionable item, I’d understand, but I don’t know what his purpose was in taking her clothes. However, if it serves him well, I’m happy.”
