Reckless Driver Steals BMW And Leads Cops On 100 mph High Octane Chase Through Busy City Roads

This is the moment a driver in a stolen BMW leads the cops on a 100 mph car chase through busy city roads only to be caught after his tires are spiked and a police chopper guides cops to his location when he leapt from the moving vehicle.

Patrick Connors, 23, was arrested after he led cops on a high-octane car chase through the busy streets of Walsall, Birmingham on 5th January.

He was sentenced last Wednesday (1st September) to nine months in prison and disqualified from driving for two years and five months.

In the footage released by West Midlands Police Connors is caught on tape speeding through a built-up area in a stolen BMW 5 series.

The cops quickly take chase and try to keep up with the reckless driver who hurtles through the city, doing traffic and running red lights at extreme speeds.

Connors was pursued by a whole team of police including a helicopter that tried to keep up with the 23-year-old during the 100 mph chase.

The cops realise that they aren’t able to catch up with the 23-year-old so they deploy a set of spikes that Connors drives over puncturing the tires of the stolen 5 Series.

The punctured tires become impossible for the young man to drive on and as seen in the video he eventually slows down and rolls out of the car whilst it’s still moving.

He then jumps to his feet and sprints away from the cops who are now just metres away from him.

With help from the police chopper, the cops quickly located Connors and take him into custody.

Connors was sentenced to nine months in prison and disqualified from driving for two years and five months.

It is not clear who Connors stole the BMW from.
