Officers Finish Delivery For Pregnant Driver After Car Crash

This is the touching moment two police officers go above and beyond the call of duty to help a pregnant DoorDash driver finish her delivery after she was in a car crash.

Lieutenant Allen and Officer Smith, from the Sterling Heights Police Department, were among the responding officers at the scene of the accident in Sterling Heights, in the US state of Michigan.

Upon arrival, they found that one of the drivers, Bryanna Fantozzi – who was six months pregnant – was on her way to drop off a DoorDash delivery when her car got into a crash amid icy road conditions on 22nd Fberuary.

With her vehicle being left undrivable, the officers stepped up to help the mum-to-be.

They took over the bags of groceries and finished the delivery without hesitation.

Body-worn footage obtained by Newsflash shows Fantozzi asking the officers if they would be able to to the drop off in her stead.

Lieutenant Allen accepts the request while jokingly adding: “I hope they give you a good review.”

A second piece of footage shows the officers handing the delivery to the woman who apparently ordered it.

Allen gives her the bags while jokingly pointing out that if the food inside is from the Texas Roadhouse steak restaurant – she is lucky he was on a diet.

The Sterling Heights Police said in a statement obtained by Newsflash on Monday, 27th February: “Not wanting our community member to go hungry, these officers switched their police hat for a DoorDash hat!

“Officers loaded the entire delivery into their cruiser and completed the delivery.

“Nice delivery, gentleman, keep up the great work.”
