Real Madrid have reportedly called Mauro Icardi’s wife and agent Wanda Nara to discuss a summer transfer after Zinedine Zidane gave the club the go-ahead.

Reports in Italy suggest Madrid are looking to secure Icardi’s signature as the Argentine striker is in the middle of a dispute with the Italian club which has seen him left out of the matchday squads since 9th February.

Zidane, who was recently appointed to his second term in charge of Los Blancos, reportedly does not see Icardi as a priority target but has given the club the go-ahead to contact his agent Nara to sound out a move.

Madrid have reportedly now called Wanda Nara and local media report the Spanish giants believe they will “have no problems” beating the offer made by Italian club Napoli for Icardi.

Napoli are believed to have offered Icardi a salary of 9 million EUR a year along with an extra 2 million EUR in yearly bonuses. Reports state Madrid are willing to match or better any offer for Icardi.

The call is said to have been the first official contact between Madrid and Nara who recently made headlines when she began following the Spanish club on social media.

Zidane would reportedly demand more big-name signings if Icardi joins, with Kylian Mbappe, Chelsea’s Eden Hazard and Tottenham’s Harry Kane all reportedly at the top of his list.
