Four men repeatedly raped a 10-year-old boy and gave him HIV before one of them died of AIDS, it has emerged.

The boy, not named in reports, is now in intensive care in Bolivia after being raped over and over again by the four perverts, who were his neighbours.

His ordeal is said to have gone on for more than two years.

The victim’s mother, also unnamed, said her son was traumatised by the ordeal, stating: “He is afraid of men.”

She has pleaded for donations for his medical expenses from the public and asked that justice be served.

The shocking ordeal reportedly took place in Yapacani in central Bolivia.

The alleged aggressors are said to be brothers with whom the victim went to play.

Two of them are minors aged 15 and 17, while the other two are aged 23 and 28.

The 28-year-old died last year of AIDS.

The first complaint was made “as a result of the contagion” in October last year, when the victim was already in intensive care due to the disease.

After he identified two of his attackers, they were arrested and sent to a prison and a youth detention centre respectively.

The remaining suspect has reportedly fled the country.

The attackers were not named in reports.

Authorities in Bolivia’s Santa Cruz Department are investigating the case.
