This is the cute puppy which has been found with its hind legs and tail seemingly gnawed away by rats which is looking for a new home.

The cute puppy was discovered at the entrance of a residential home in the village of Nogliki in south-eastern Russia’s Sakhalin Oblast region.

A woman, whose name is not known, says that she spotted two puppies, one of them was perfectly healthy, while the other one had seemingly fallen victim to rats.

However, local media report it is also possible that the puppy was attacked by humans.

After vets inspected the puppy, it is believed that rats living in the building simply ate some of its body parts and attacked it.

Both of the puppies are currently staying with the kind-hearted woman, who is looking for a new permanent home for both of them.

The injured female puppy is still going through medical treatment, and vets note that she is, in general, a very healthy and active animal.

The vets added that everything this puppy needs is a loving family and good care.

The injured pooch will be sterilised and receive a special prosthesis to compensate for its missing hind legs.

The rescuer says that it is a lot harder to find a home for a ‘disabled’ dog but still hopes to find the dogs a new home.
