PSG To Offer 65 Million EUR For Icardi

Paris Saint-Germain have reportedly started working on their offer to make Argentine superstar Mauro Icardi’s loan from Inter Milan permanent in a 65-million-EUR deal.

Argentine striker Icardi, 26, is currently playing at French champions PSG on loan from Inter after a controversial exit.

Despite Icardi publicly saying his “intention is to stay” at Inter, the club said “he is not part of the sports plans” in a statement before sending him to PSG on loan for a year with an option to buy.

After Icardi’s success at the French club, local media report PSG are interested in making the move permanent.

According to the loan deal with Inter, PSG would have to pay 80 million EUR (68.51 million GBP) to buy the player however local media report they are planning to offer 65 million EUR (55.67 million GBP).

Icardi has made 10 appearances for the French club netting nine goals as he battles for a starting position with Uruguayan Edinson Cavani, 32.

Cavani has been in rumoured to be a target for L.A. Galaxy to take over from Swedish superstar Zlatan Ibrahimovic’s, 38, after he left the club.

PSG have around six weeks before this winter’s transfer window to start negotiations with the Italian club who are reportedly set on selling the striker.

The transfer window in France is scheduled to be from 1st January to 2nd February in which time the striker’s future could potentially be decided.
