A prison official has been suspended after posting snaps of his young sons brandishing machine guns and describing it as a “work visit” for his kids.

Cristian Alejo Ribnikov, a civil servant of the Buenos Aires Prison Service (SPB) in the eastern Argentine province of Buenos Aires, posted the photos on Facebook.

In the photos, two boys are seen brandishing various assault rifles while smiling for the camera.

According to local media, the SPB official, who is known by co-workers as ‘Rambo’, shared the pictures on Facebook alongside the message:”Work visit for the little Ribnikovs.”

Following an online backlash, Alejo Ribnikov reportedly deleted the photos from his social media account.

The images were taken in the SPB headquarters in Buenos Aires where Ribnikov has an office, according to reports.

Local media suggested that the weapons seen in the photos of Alejo Ribnikov’s children are part of a private arsenal kept by the apparently reckless dad at his office.

Meanwhile, the SPB said in a statement that Alejo Ribnikov has been suspended from his post as a full investigation gets underway.

The local authorities may prosecute the civil servant for gun possession and allowing minors to handle dangerous firearms, according to reports.

The probe is ongoing.
