This is the moment a stunned biker filling up his motorcycle films the petrol price meter continuing to go up even though he has finished refuelling his vehicle.

The incident took place in the island city-state of Singapore when the unnamed motorist visited a Caltex (Chevron Corporation brand name) petrol station to fill up his motorbike.

Meanwhile, Chevron Singapore has confirmed that they are investigating the incident.

In the footage uploaded to Facebook by netizen ‘SG Kay Poh’ and viewed 58,000 times, the biker is heard explaining in English that the pump’s price continues to rise after “putting a bit of the oil [petrol], you see the metre still running”.

He warns other motorists to “be careful” as the price continues to go up and “you are still paying”.

At the end of the footage, the petrol station manager and an employee come over to assist the disgruntled biker.

A Chevron spokesperson has confirmed that the pump has been placed under maintenance and said that no other dispensers at the station had the same problem.

Meanwhile, checks at other Caltex service stations are reportedly underway.

The statement added: “Customer satisfaction and ensuring accuracy of our station equipment are top priorities for us at Caltex.

“We are continuing to investigate this matter and as a precautionary measure, we are conducting verifications at all our Caltex service stations in Singapore.”
