This is the moment a poor Corgi trembles in fear after its owner threatened it with a broom for wrecking the house.

The video was filmed by the dog’s owner Ms Tan at her home in the city of Chengdu in the Chinese province of Sichuan last week.

Ms Tan explained that she had arrived home from work to find a mess on the floor and grew angry at her Corgi.

She said she wanted to scold the dog with a broom, but did not expect the pooch to tremble in fear like it did.

Ms Tan added that she found the incident both funny and sad, adding that she had smacked the dog before but it had never reacted like this.

In the footage, the poor pooch is seen shaking uncontrollably as its wide eyes dart between its owner and the phone she is using to film with.

Meanwhile, Ms Tan has the thick broom handle resting on the dog’s head in a threatening manner, apparently causing the nervous pooch to tremble wildly.

She then pans across the room to film the mess on the floor she encountered after arriving home from work.

One TikTok user commented: “If the dog appears stressed, take care of it. It’s not good for the dog.”

Netizen ‘Silly girl’ said: “It seems to get beaten a lot.”
