Police in Berlin have been looking for this missing teenage girl for months using these two extremely different photographs.
The first photograph, which police in the German capital Berlin have shared with the public despite believing it has probably been doctored using a computer, apparently shows the 15-year-old girl, who has been named as Miriam El-Hatini, with light brown or dirty blonde hair, long eyelashes and overly large lips.
She appears to be wearing a considerable amount of makeup and has what appear to be light green eyes, with police saying that she looks older than she is that she could easily be mistaken for a 19- to 21-year-old, based on that photograph.
A second photo shared by the police, however, appears to show a much more natural and less made-up Miriam with brown eyes.
The teenager, who comes from the Saxony-Anhalt region in eastern Germany, is seen in a shisha bar in the first photograph, although it is currently unclear if it was taken in Berlin, with the police saying that in the second photograph, she looks much younger.
The police said that the first photograph shows her wearing contact lenses, but they also said that the photograph was most likely edited using a computer or an app on a phone.
Investigators currently believe that she is somewhere in Berlin, but they had not shared these images for months because her family was against a public manhunt.
They appear, however, to have changed their minds, as the police have now released these two photographs in the hope that members of the public will be able to come forwards with clues that will help them find the missing teenager.
The teenager, who is reportedly 1.70 metres (5 feet 5 inches) tall, has been missing since June 2021, is believed to be in Berlin, based on the police investigation and on her own statements, made before she disappeared.
The girl’s family had notified the authorities some time ago but it is only now that they are speaking out in favour of a public manhunt find her.
