Two suspected plant machinery thieves were thwarted by a police drone after they were caught prowling around a building site near Bircotes, England.

The incident occurred when security guards notified the police after they spotted the suspects near the site’s perimeter on 2nd April.

A drone was quickly launched and spotted the suspects from more than a quarter-mile away.

The suspects – realising they had been seen – fled across open fields and escaped.

Thanks to the drone’s quick actions, the suspects were left empty-handed, and the machinery remained secure.
