Spoiled Robert Mugabe Jr is reported to have attended the raucous party in Zimbabwe, where a scuffle broke out, over the weekend.

The scuffle reportedly ended with the 31-year-old destroying cars and other possessions at the party venue.

The damage he is said to have caused has been valued at USD 12,000 (GBP 10,000).

The hosts and other affected partygoers reported the former Zimbabwean president’s son to the police and he was seized on 19th February.

Zimbabwean media reported that he was held at Avondale Police Station in the capital, Harare, and attended a court hearing yesterday (20th February).

He has since been released but faces three charges of malicious damage to property and two of assaulting a police officer.

He is protesting his innocence and is reportedly hoping to reach an out-of-court settlement.

It is not the first time Mugabe Jr has courted controversy.

He and his younger brother, Chatunga Bellarmine Mugabe, are said to be notorious for their wild parties in Zimbabwe and neighbouring South Africa.

In October last year, a video showing Mugabe Jr having a heated exchange with a young woman named Bertha did the rounds on social media.

In the footage, Bertha – a model from Harare – accuses Mugabe Jr of trying to make her leave his home without handing her USD 50 (GBP 42) for her ‘services’.

And bizarrely, in 2017, Grace Mugabe – then the First Lady of Zimbabwe – busted her sons in their rented apartment in Sandton – an upscale district north of Johannesburg, South Africa – where she “beat the hell out of” model Gabriella Engels with an electrical power cable.

Gabriella, then 20 years old, suffered a gash on her forehead that required eight stitches.

Grace Mugabe, meanwhile, fled South Africa.

If Mugabe Jr fails to reach an amicable settlement, he faces further court hearings.
