This is the moment a moped rider cheats death when a turning lorry knocks him to the ground and drives right over his head pulling off his plastic helmet and crushing it underneath the wheel.
The unnamed rider from the city of Ningbo in East China’s Zhejiang Province is thought to have been in the lorry’s blind spot, with the driver failing to spot him as he clips his smaller vehicle.
CCTV cameras from the junction of Santian Road and Ningchuan Road shows the lorry making a right turn and colliding with the rider’s red electric moped.

The moped is immediately pushed off balance and the rider is left sprawling on the ground as the lorry’s rear-right wheel runs over his left shoulder and then his entire head.
The wheel crushes the man’s helmet and pulls it off his skull, flattening it underneath the tyre as the heavy goods vehicle comes to a stop.
The rider is then left motionless on the ground in the aftermath, but ultimately survived thanks to his helmet.
Pan Yunping, head of trauma at Ningbo Sixth Hospital, said the moped owner was not in any life-threatening condition despite suffering head injuries, including soft tissue damage to his scalp.
He suffered no bleeding in the brain and is expected to make a full recovery, Pan said.
Ningbo traffic police are to charge the lorry driver and hold him fully liable for the accident, saying he was “speeding” and “failed to notice other traffic on the road” when attempting the right turn.
