This is the moment a crazed pickup truck driver tries to run over spectators of a quad bike event and reportedly fired a gun near them before continuing his terror run in the city centre where cops gave chase.

The incident took place in the city of Villa Gesell in the eastern Argentine province of Buenos Aires during a local motorcycle and quad bike even called Enduro.

According to eyewitness, the pickup truck driver tried to run over several people and even pulled out a gun and fired twice in a threatening manner.

In the footage, the suspect appears to be driving directly towards a heavyset man in a white T-shirt, who runs away from the pickup truck and then throws sand at the driver as it passes and just misses him.

A voice in the background says: “He is going to crash into everyone, he is crazy. Let’s get out of here.”

As other group members shout at the driver, he appears to drive directly towards a small red van which reverses out of the way.

The pickup truck then circles back towards the group and is last seen driving over a sand dune.

According to local media, the group tried to call the police, but there was no reception in the area.

The driver is also accused of firing his gun into the sand twice near the group members.

Reports said that the crazed pickup driver then went into the city centre and was involved in other dangerous incidents.

At one point, the police chased him in a patrol car but he managed to get away although they did manage to identify the suspect, according to local media.

Cops have reportedly launched a manhunt for the dangerous driver and set up checks on major roads and motorways.
