This CCTV footage shows the horrific moment when a boy is chased onto the road by a dog and is run over by a pickup truck.

Seven-year-old Eren Kilinc remains in a coma in the ICU of Hafsa Sultan Celal Bayar University Hospital following the incident in Manisa, Turkey, on 24th October.

Eren had popped out to buy bread from the bakery for his mum and was on his way back home when the stray bit him.

Wounded, he ran from the dog in fear but inadvertently ran out into the road when a pickup truck was approaching.

The driver was unable to break in time and ran Eren over. He drove the injured lad himself to the local hospital.

As per the last update on 3rd November, Eren remained unconscious in the ICU.

But his parents have refused to give up hope. Dad Yucel Kilinc told local media: “We are patiently waiting for the day when he will open his eyes.”

Eren’s parents did not blame the motorist for the accident and, as such, did not report him to police.

Yucel added: “I believe my son will recover in time. We are waiting patiently.

“We ask the authorities to take precautions against dogs on the street so that others do not experience what has happened to us.”
