This footage shows doctors and firefighters operating on a male patient after he put his penis in a plastic bottle and it then became stuck.

The man from the city of Wuhu in China’s eastern province of Anhui took himself to his local hospital after he was reportedly unable to free himself from the neck of the bottle.

According to the provincial fire service, rescuers brought the patient to Wuhu First People’s Hospital on 12th March with only the bottleneck stuck firmly around his organ.

The rest of the bottle had apparently been cut away in an unsuccessful DIY attempt to free his manhood, which rescuers said was “swollen and turning purple”.

In the facility’s accident and emergency department, doctors and firefighters can be seen leaning over the man’s private parts as they carefully remove the remaining plastic from his genitals.

Together they removed the bottleneck with a pair of small scissors but only did so after the patient was given local anaesthetic.

The man’s penis is not thought to have suffered any permanent damage, but the hospital did not say whether he revealed how he managed to trap his reproductive organ inside the plastic bottle.
