This is the painful moment a woman falls off a moving bus as she struggles with her shopping cart when the driver left the doors open.

The passenger – who needed hospital treatment – had been waiting to get off the bus in Yellow Mountains, Anhui Province, eastern China.

But – as seen on the bus’s CCTV footage from 8th January – she took so long to get a grip on her trolly that the driver moved off without shutting the door.

By the time she was ready, the bus was already moving and she tumbled out onto the road as it drove away.

Online commentators slammed the driver for moving off and leaving the doors wide open.

Ji Qiang – Chairman of Huangshi Urban Public Transport Group Co., Ltd., which owns the bus – told local media that the company paid for the woman to be treated at hospital and that she had not suffered serious injuries.

Police are reportedly carrying out an investigation into the incident.
