OAP Stabs Wife To Death After 35 Years Of Marriage Because She Did Not Like The Breakfast He Brought Her In Bed

A 65-year-old German man is standing trial accused of stabbing his wife to death after almost 35 years of marriage because she did not like the breakfast in bed he had made for her.

The defendant has been named as Klaus-Peter S. And his trial started in the German city of Leipzig, in the eastern state of Saxony, on Friday, 25th February.

The alleged wife murderer stands accused of killing Gertrud, 60, who was discharged from hospital in the summer of 2021 with an “untreatable” cancer diagnosis, according to local media.

All she reportedly wanted was to spend the last few months of her life with her husband at home, in the village of Stoermthal, which is located near Leipzig.

The criminal police reportedly said that the locksmith was completely overwhelmed with his wife’s condition and the situation that he found himself in and that this regularly led to arguments between the pair.

On the fatal day, the defendant had reportedly prepared breakfast for his wife, on 3rd September, but a bread roll was reportedly to crispy for the unwell woman to eat.

The prosecutors allege that the wife scolded her husband and the husband flipped out, stabbing her 14 times with a 16-centimetre (6.2-inch) kitchen knife while she lay in her bed.

He then called the police himself and reportedly confessed to the crime, saying that he wished to express himself during the trial.

Public prosecutor Jenny Mosbacher said: “the victim was at the mercy of the accused.”

She added that the defendant had an “absolute will to destroy” and that he had killed his wife out of anger and irritation.

A psychiatric expert is due to appear in court to give testimony. The accused is set to speak about the murder allegation on Thursday.
