A fast-moving motorist screamed in terror as he slammed into a herd of cows in the middle of a dual carriageway.

The driver can be heard shouting ‘Allahu Akbar’ – or God is great – as he hits the helpless beasts on the road in Malaysia.

The incident was filmed while the motorist was travelling at night on a dual carriageway on 20th April.

Facebook user ‘Bernard Pang’ posted the video on 21st April, stating that he was ‘feeling shocked’ and including the message: “Do be extra careful while driving at night on the Malaysia highway… you never know what you will encounter…”

Pang’s video has been viewed nearly 80,000 times on Facebook in the last four days. It is unclear if he is the driver in the footage.

In the clip, the motorist is seen hitting speeds of up to 138kph (86mph) before suddenly encountering the herd of cows across both lanes.

He slams into multiple animals with a sickening thud before coming to a stop with his windscreen apparently damaged.

According to local media, the driver was travelling at nearly 140kph (87mph) when he hit the cows.

Meanwhile, many social media users accused the driver of speeding, adding that he should have used his high-beam lights on the dark road.

It was not revealed what the speed limit was at that time on that stretch of road and it is also unclear if the local authorities are investigating the incident at this stage.

The extent of the injuries to the cows and the number hit were also not reported.
