A mother whose ex killed their children aged one and two has told how she has turned down his death row pleas for forgiveness as he awaits execution.

Brutal Zhang Bo threw his son and daughter from the window of his 15th-floor apartment after his girlfriend said she did not want another woman’s children.

The bodies of two-year-old Zhang Ruixue and her 12-month-old brother Zhang Yangrui were found at the foot of the apartment block in Chongqing, central China, in November, 2020.

Zhang and his girlfriend Ye Chengchen – who was found guilty of pressuring him into killing his children – are both appealing death sentences.

But the babies’ heartbroken mother Chen Meilin, 31, has told how she can never forgive for former husband.

Since he launched an appeal, Zhang has sent three letters to Chen begging for her to forgive him, reported local media.

But Chen said in a letter to him: ” The best way for you and Ye to atone for your crime is to accept the sentence of the first trial, and die quietly.

“If people who committed such an atrocious crime don’t receive the death sentence, no child will be safe anymore.”

She added: “For the sake of my two children, I must see you die at all costs.”

Zhang met Ye while he was still married and they continued their relationship after he got divorced.

He told the court he wanted to marry Ye but she refused to accept him while he already had children and so did her parents.

After allegedly plotting the crime for months prior, Zhang carried out his girlfriend’s wishes and killed his children.

She, though, denied having anything to do with the murders, according to local media.
