This is the moment a white cat hitches a ride on the back of a cyclist as he rides through the city.

The incident in which the young man on a bicycle can be seen riding with a cat on his shoulders took place in the city of Wuhu, which is located in Anhui province in eastern China on Sunday 28th November.

The images show a young man wearing a backpack and riding a bicycle with a white cat perched on top of his shoulders.

The cat doesn’t seem fazed by the speed at which the young man, who has not been named, is going and at no point does it look as if it is going to try and leap off.

Indeed, it looks extremely relaxed and comfortable as it lies on the man’s shoulders with its feed on his rucksack.

The footage was recorded by a student named only as Liang in local media reports. It was then shared on social media where it made the rounds.

The student said that they followed the young man for a few streets and the white cat remained calm and peacefully on the cyclist’s shoulders all the way.

It is currently unclear if the white cat is the bicyclist’s pet or if it was someone else’s that he picked up.
