This is the moment a Chinese mum takes a right-hand turn and her little toddler falls out of the back door and crashes onto the tarmac.

The incident was filmed in the city of Hangzhou in the Chinese province of Zhejiang and the video has been widely shared on the social network Douyin, also known as TikTok.

The mother, name not disclosed, took a right turn on a busy city road when her toddler was unceremoniously dumped on the tarmac after apparently being seated in the car without wearing a seatbelt.

In the footage, filmed by the dash-cam of the motorist driving behind the mother, a white SUV is seen hogging two lanes before taking a right turn and braking sharply.

A small child then falls out and lies on the ground before managing to sit up and wait for the mum to come.

The woman stops the vehicle and runs to the toddler who raises her arms ready to be picked up.

The worried mum scoops the youngster up and heads back to her car.

It is unclear if the local authorities are investigating the matter but fortunately, the toddler appears not to have suffered too badly.
