A 30-year-old BDSM studio owner has accidentally been killed during an erotic sex session with her husband.

Anastasia Filatova, 30, died at her BDSM studio in the Russian city of Saint Petersburg while staying overnight with her husband, name and age not disclosed.

The man, who has been released on bail, is being investigated in connection with his wife’s death and is assisting the police with their enquiries.

He reported the incident the following morning after failing to realise she had died sometime during or after their sex session.

A friend of the victim told the news site 78 that the couple decided to spend the night at the BDSM studio and that the husband called for an ambulance the following morning, where Filatova’s death was confirmed by paramedics.

According to the unnamed friend, the victim was found in a pool of vomit and the cause of death could be down to a number of reasons such as the mask she wore, a ruptured blood clot, or an aneurysm.

The friend added that it was “not right” to say that she had been accidentally throttled to death by her husband, although that is another possible cause being investigated by the police.

She said: “We must understand that if she had been strangled, it would have been clear when the ambulance arrived.”

She added that the businesswoman only ever greeted customers at her BDSM studio, but knew all about the safety measures needed for such erotic practices as she had given seminars on the subject.

The victim’s friend also said that the couple had been married for three years and had one child together.

She referred to the suspect as a caring husband who always “monitored her health” during pregnancy.

The investigation continues.
