This is the terrifying moment a snake is seen slithering into a car using a gap alongside the exhaust pipe in California.

The incident took place at the home of lawyer Brian Freeman in the city of Riverside, California, in the United States and was recorded by his wife Laura.

In the video, the snake can be seen at the exhaust pipe of Freeman’s car when it suddenly slithers into the gap between the exhaust and the bodywork of the car, fully disappearing from view.

Laura says “oh my God get out here, get out here. A snake, I’m not kidding you, it’s in your car, it’s in your car. It just crawled up that exhaust, it’s in there!”

Freeman told Newsflash: “I didn’t believe her until she showed me the video. I have never seen anything like this happen before in my life.”

Explaining what happened after the snake slithered into his car, he told Newsflash: “Animal control came over and said there was no way to get the snake out without taking apart the car. So we left the garage open all night hoping he would slither out.

“We will never know for sure if he escaped or not until someday my car gets taken apart. My friends sent me photos of snakes crawling in through the vents of cars and under the floor. So many people joked that I should just burn the car.”

And Freeman, who owns a local law firm, joked “my next car will have to be a Tesla without a tailpipe.”
