She comes to a halt but the driver has no room to brake and crashes into her.

Footage from the bus she was travelling in shows her getting off the vehicle and running behind it. The other bus can be seen crashing into her and passengers then get off to try and help her.

Local media report she was dragged for several metres by the bus and she was taken to Yalova State Hospital in an ambulance after hitting her head.

She was found to have suffered internal bleeding and was kept in intensive care for two days before succumbing to her injuries.

After she was declared dead, her students, aged nine and ten, were said to be very upset, with one of them named Ibrahim Ugur telling reporters: “I heard about the accident, when I found out she was dead I went to my room and cried.”

Ugur said the teacher had planned to take the students to the cinema on the day of the accident.
