This is the moment masked thieves rob two women in a 24-hour laundrette before driving off in one of the victims’ cars.

The incident was filmed in a laundrette in the township of Bandar Sri Damansara in the city of Petaling Jaya in the western Malaysian state of Selangor, and the footage was shared on Facebook by netizen ‘Siakap Keli’ where it has been viewed 552,000 times.

According to local media, both women were playing with their phones in the 24-hour laundrette at around 12.10am when two men with their faces covered entered the premises brandishing a wooden stick.

In the laundrette’s CCTV footage, the two women, who are reportedly pals, are seen sitting on the bench while waiting for their clothes to be ready.

As they play with their phones, two masked men strut in and take their bags.

They also confront a man in the laundrette, but they do not appear to take anything from him and reports did not mention a male victim.

According to local media, the suspects fled the scene in a yellow Perodua Myvi that was parked outside and belonged to one of the victims.

The investigation is ongoing.
