This is the moment a worker in the back of his truck narrowly escapes being hit by several flying boulders during a rockfall.

The incident was filmed in the village of Agvali in the Russian republic of Dagestan, situated on the Caspian Sea, on 27th July.

Huge boulders from a nearby mountain hit a local petrol station while a worker was in the back of his truck, and reportedly damaged the main building.

In the CCTV footage, the worker is seen standing in the back of his truck and checking his load when he notices a large boulder suddenly crashing onto the road in front of him.

Panicked, the man turns to apparently jump out of the back of his vehicle and take cover, however, another boulder whizzes past and just misses the back of the truck.

He ducks down just as another huge boulder crashes into the back of the truck and apparently misses him by centimetres.

The clip ends with the man raising his head as the boulder crashes onto the ground next to the truck.

The second video shows the smashed-up petrol station and the after-effects of the nearby rockfall.

It was not reported if anyone was injured in the incident.

After the footage was widely shared on social media, many netizens told the worker that he was incredibly lucky and should celebrate his second birthday on that date.
