This is the moment pals of a drunk Russian do nothing to stop him and instead film as he slowly stabs himself with a large knife in honour of ‘the motherland’.

The incident took place in an apartment in an unspecified location in Russia while three pals were drinking alcohol in a small flat together.

In the footage, two young men are seen talking with the cameraman before one of them, apparently drunk, takes a large knife from a holder on the wall and announces: “I would die for Russia! I may take a knife now and do it.”

He can be seen slowly pushing the knife into his chest area before dropping the bloodstained blade onto the floor.

The young man then lies there barely moving, and his two pals initially do nothing to help.

According to local media, the drunk victim was taken to a nearby hospital and when he woke up from surgery, he asked who stabbed him.

His friends showed him the video and he was upset by what he saw and started crying, according to reports.

Netizen ‘Soglashus Uvasvich’ said: “The cameraperson didn’t even try to stop it, he just hung around filming it all.”
