This is the moment a bridge collapses under the weight of a lorry, creating a hole that swallows the car behind.

The incident was filmed on the Artem-Nakhodka-Vostochny Port motorway near the village of Romanovka in the district of Shkotovsky in the far-eastern Russian region of Primorsky Krai, bordering with North Korea.

The video was filmed by the dash cam of the driver who crashed into the hole, who later shared it on social media where it has been viewed 130,000 times.

In the clip, a lorry is seen driving along a straight bridge. Just as the heavy goods vehicle passes a white car coming in the opposite direction, a hole appears in its wake.

The male driver behind the lorry is heard exclaiming as he is unable to prevent his vehicle from falling front-first into the hole.

A scene later on shows his Toyota Prius in the collapsed road.

Fortunately for the unnamed motorist, he was reportedly uninjured in the incident although his Toyota Prius was badly damaged.

The local authorities have set up a road detour while they repair the collapsed bridge and carry out an investigation regarding the road condition, according to reports.
