Modern Day Samson Is A Lotto Winner Every Time His Hair Grows Long

A man from the USA is a modern-day Samson because he only scores a lottery win every time he has long hair, and in the 8 years in between when it was shorter he did not win a thing.

The legendary hero Samson was given enormous strength and always won battles as long as he had long hair, yet when it was cut he was defeated.

William Daniels Jr, aged 31, from the community of Middle River, in Baltimore County, Maryland, USA, had previously won USD 100,000 (GBP 83,709) on a Ravens instant ticket in 2015, the last time he had long hair.

But he was left in awe after he bought a Gold X50 scratch-off at the 7-Eleven #33266 at 8235 Perry Hall Boulevard in the community of Nottingham after growing this hair again – and discovered another USD 50,000 (GBP 41,879) this month.

He then claimed it was all because of his hairstyle as he recalled that he had long hair eight years ago, which he reportedly wore short until recently when he began growing longer locks.

Daniels said in a statement obtained by Newsflash from Maryland Lottery: “I’m going to stick with long hair when I play scratch-offs.”

The 31-year-old man who works as an aircraft assembly employee said that he only buys instant tickets from time to time.

But when asked how he felt when he saw the prize, he said: “When you hit it, you are in disbelief. You want to make sure you are not looking at it wrong.”

He revealed that he used his previous winnings to purchase a house, and now plans to use the new prize on his wedding bills.

He said: “It is going toward paying for my wedding.”

Maryland Lottery officials said: “The Gold X50 game is number three on the Lottery’s Top 40 Scratch-offs roster.

“Other members of the Gold Multiplier family of games are the USD 1 [GBP 0.84] Gold X5, USD 2 [GBP 1.67] Gold X10 and USD 10 [GB{ 8.37] Gold X20 games.

The Gold X50 scratch-off reportedly has six unclaimed USD 100,000 [GBP 83,661] prizes left.

Additionally, seven USD 50,000 [GBP 41,879] prizes, another 21 USD 10,000 [GBP 8,366] prizes and many others ranging from USD 10 [GBP 8.37] to USD 1,000 [GBP 836] are yet to be found as well.
