This is the moment a minibus packed with passengers tumbles over the edge of a mountain road after going into a frantic spin during snowy conditions.

The incident was filmed by another road user with a smartphone on a road in the Develi district of central Turkey’s Kayseri Province.

The footage shows the white minibus, which looks to be travelling too fast for the conditions, lose control and go into a spin.

It ends up sliding towards the side of the road backwards before tumbling over the side of the road, rolling over sideways down a short drop onto rocks below.

The driver of the minibus and two passengers, whose names have not been released, were injured in the accident.

They were helped out of the minibus by passersby and taken by ambulance to a nearby hospital where doctors describe their condition as stable.

Police have launched an investigation into the accident which happened on a road near Mount Erciyes. The damaged minibus has been removed from the scene by local authority officials.

Mount Erciyes, a volcano which stands about 15 kilometres (9.3 miles) south of the regional capital city of Kayseri, is the largest mountain of Turkey’s Central Anatolia region, at 3,917 metres (12,851 ft).
