Mexican Celebrity Reveals She Fancied El Chapo And Used To Romance Mobsters

Mexican celebrity Lyn May has revealed that she used to romance mobsters and once fancied notorious drug lord Joaquin ‘El Chapo’ Guzman, but lost out to a famous actress who “won him over” instead.

The dancer and former vedette star, who turned 69 in December, said in an interview on the Mexican TV show ‘De Primera Mano’ (‘First-Hand’) that she used to be hired to work for notorious criminals of the day, including El Chapo, leader of the deadly Sinaloa Cartel.

She revealed that she had set her sights on the powerful drug lord, but was beaten to the punch by Mexican-American actress Kate del Castillo.

The dancer, a popular sex symbol during the 70s and 80s, claimed: “Yes, they used to hire me and I worked with them many times because I did my job, got paid, and left. Plus they treated me very well, and I had romances with narco men as well.

“However, I liked El Chapo, but Kate (del Castillo) won him over. I met him, one day I went to work at a place he owned in Sinaloa.”

Last week, May shared a photo of her doing the splits on Instagram for her 300,000 followers with the message: “Always do what makes you happy without hurting anyone else.”

May, who was born in Acapulco and has Chinese ancestry, enjoyed a resurgence in popularity last year after appearing on the reality show ‘Quiero Cantar’ (‘I Want to Sing’).

Local media also reported that she was pregnant in August 2021 with her partner Marcos D1, 30. However, she said in October that she had lost the baby during a flight to Mexicali during her tour.

According to the news site Publinews, May disfigured her face some years ago when an acquaintance suggested that she inject a certain oil in her skin to prevent wrinkles.

While many people have criticised the dancer for undergoing too many plastic surgeries on her face, she actually had the ops to correct much of the damage caused by the botched treatment.

Former drug kingpin Joaquin ‘El Chapo’ Guzman is currently held at a maximum-security ADX Florence prison located in Colorado, USA, where he is serving a life sentence plus 30 years.

He now reportedly spends his time in a cell that is just 2 meters (6.6 feet) wide and 3.5 meters (11.5 feet) long.

El Chapo does leave his cell but only for two hours a week, when he is given access to a patio area.

The United States Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA) estimated that prior to his detention, Guzman matched the notorious Pablo Escobar in terms of wealth and power.

El Chapo was arrested in Mexico in 2001, only to escape before his trial by bribing his guards.

The Mexican authorities caught him again in 2015, but again, the kingpin escaped, this time via a secret underground tunnel in his cell.

He was re-captured in 2016 by Mexican authorities, who extradited him to the United States, where he has been serving his life sentence since 2019.
