This is the moment a huge wave of applause is heard in the tower blocks of the Argentine capital as residents show their appreciation for the healthcare workers fighting the Coronavirus pandemic.

The video was recorded in the Argentinian capital of Buenos Aires in the province with the same name after a social media message was spread organising a show of appreciation for healthcare workers.

The footage shows residents all applauding from their balconies and windows with the city’s impressive skyline in the backdrop.

Reports said that people went to their balconies and windows in the neighbourhoods of Belgrano, Caballito, Recoleta and Nunes y Quilmes to offer applause to the healthcare professionals that battle virus Covid-19 in the first line.

The Twitter profile ‘Change.org Argentina’ wrote on social media: “Today at 9 pm, we join ‘ArgentinaAplaude’. From your home, join in the applause for all the doctors, nurses and health assistants who fight day by day to finish with coronavirus. Thank you for your tireless work !! Where are you going to applaud them from?”

Netizen ‘Grosembacher’ shared the clip along with the message: “Applause, honks, and whistles throughout the city to our nation’s doctors, nurses, and health personnel. Pride and emotion.”
