This is the moment a young boy cheats death when an SUV ploughs through a restaurant glass door and crashes right into his family’s table.

CCTV footage from the unnamed noodle restaurant in Taizhou, a coastal city in East China’s Zhejiang Province, shows the boy and his mum eating together when the crash occurs on 21st May.

The SUV, which was parked outside the business, suddenly jolts forwards and slams right through the glass entrance.

Security footage from the largely empty business, which only had two sets of customers in it at the time, shows the car being driven across the restaurant floor carrying the broken glass door on its bonnet.

The SUV hits the table where the boy and his mum are sitting, pushing his parent away while he narrowly avoids being run over by mere inches, instead rolling safely onto the floor.

According to reports, the boy was not harmed and his mum sustained no serious injuries either.

The police are still investigating the crash.

It is still unclear what exactly caused the male driver to crash into the restaurant.
