Three family members from the USA have won GBP 43,000 each after they used the same set of numbers for the same lottery drawing.
The 61-year-old man, whose identity was not disclosed, had bought the USD-1 ticket from Hampstead Liquors in Carroll County, in the US state of Maryland.
Maryland Lottery said that the father from the town of Hampstead bought the bet ticket for the ‘Pick 5’ evening drawing on Thursday, 13th October.
The man’s 28-year-old daughter followed his lead and bought a ticket for the same drawing and from the same store.
Then his 31-year-old son from the census-designated place of Towson, in Baltimore County also paid the liquor store a visit to purchase a ticket.
All three tickets used the same number combination 5-3-8-3-4, which finally turned out to be the winning numbers in the drawing.
It reportedly earned each of the family members a USD 50,000 (GBP 43,000) prize.
Media reported that one of the players planned to put their winnings toward a new home, while the other two said they would make an investment with the money they won.
