Lovestruck Monitor Lizards Scare Relaxed Eaters At Restaurant

This is the moment two ‘lovestruck’ monitor lizards enter a restaurant causing a scare for customers.

The unwanted visitors went inside the Uncle Fook Chili Hakka Mee restaurant in Johor Bahru, Malaysia, on 3rd March.

The CCTV footage shows the moment the two monitor lizards enter the restaurant.

A second piece of CCTV footage shows the relaxed visitors enjoying their meals when they jump up in fright as the animals scurry across the floor.

One woman can be seen even falling from her chair in a panic.

While others put their legs up on their chairs, one woman even climbs on the table and sits there as employees and visitors try to chase them away.

The store owner Bee Siaok Liau said in a Facebook post: “A loving couple came to visit us and the customers were frightened.

“My employee said that the new arrivals were a couple.

“What should I say? They ran in because the husband was chasing his wife…

The owner even said the unexpected visit could be a good omen.

She added: “Some people say that animals coming to your home or store are a sign, a good omen!

“Some people say it is peach blossom. Some people even say it is wealth luck.”

The owner told local media that an experienced employee caught and released both reptiles.

She also said that neither the animals nor the visitors injured in the incident, adding that the reptiles were even more panicked than the customers at the time.
