A love rat who had an English and Italian lover at the same time allegedly gave the Italian woman rat poison for months before finally stabbing her 37 times, it has emerged.
Victim Giulia Tramontano, 29, had been taking the poison for months according to an autopsy that was carried out after she was allegedly stabbed to death by waiter Alessandro Impagnetiello, 30.
When the poison had not worked, he had apparently decided to stab her after pregnant Giulia, 29, had been contacted by his 23-year-old English woman lover when they found they were both seeing the same man and the women met in Milan in Italy to discuss the love triangle.
The 23-year-old half-English and half-Italian woman was not named but heartbreaking photos from CCTV footage of the meeting, prepared for Impagnetiello’s murder trial, show the two women hugging as they leave.
But just hours later on 27th May, Giulia died in a horrific attack when Impagne allegedly stabbed her in a frenzied attack and then burned her body in a bath.
He then hid her remains in a garage and then in a cellar before trying to dispose of them.
Shockingly, say prosecutors, autopsy toxicology tests showed that Impagnetiello had been trying to poison Giulia and their unborn child with rat poison for months.
He reportedly searched online for “ammonia foetus”, “rat poison” and “how much rat poison is needed to kill a person”.
He also allegedly bought chloroform under a fake name.
A few weeks later, Giulia had reportedly searched online for ‘heartburn remedies’.
She later complained to her family about sleeping poorly and feeling “drugged”.
Impagnetiello was arrested by the police after leading them to her remains when he broke down while he was being questioned.
Her gruesomely disfigured body was dumped behind a building in Senago, a Milan suburb, say prosecutors.
Impagnatiello then went to the police along with his mother and reported Giulia missing.
He initially claimed she was missing along with her passport, a bag and EUR 400 (GBP 345) in cash, before eventually confessing.
Impagnatiello is now facing charges of aggravated voluntary homicide, concealment of a body and nonconsensual abortion, according to local media.
